Meet Jay Classic
Jay Classic is a talented local musician we met during our trip to Awasi, a village located about 6 hours west of Nairobi by bus. His music carries powerful messages about hope, community, and the everyday experiences of life in rural Kenya.
During our visit, we had the privilege of recording some of his music and helping him set up social media accounts to share his talent with a wider audience. Jay's passion for music and his community is truly inspiring.
His songs reflect the joys and challenges of life in his village, touching on themes like:
