Alfajiri Mission

About Alfajiri Mission

Alfajiri Mission is a community-based organization located in Kibera, Nairobi - one of Africa's largest urban slums. The mission focuses on education, skills training, and community development to help lift people out of poverty.

During our volunteer trips, we worked closely with Alfajiri Mission to set up computer labs, teach digital skills, and provide technical support. The enthusiasm of the students was incredible - despite challenging conditions, they were eager to learn and improve their lives.

Our work included:

• Setting up computer labs with working equipment
• Teaching basic computer skills to children and adults
• Configuring networks and internet connectivity
• Repairing and maintaining computer equipment
• Training local staff to maintain the systems
